ISLE OF AUSKERRY
TEXTILE WORKSHOP AND STUDIO
Teresa Probert and Simon Brogan produce a range of textiles and yarns from the wool and skins of their flock of seaweed-eating sheep.
Visiting the island, you will see the production of textiles including sheepskin rugs; felted wall hangings; woven blankets and knitted cushions as well as their range of natural hand-dyed yarns and exclusive knitwear designs.
The workshop is located on the remote island of Auskerry. It is located in the Eastern extremities of the Orkney Islands and visiting is an adventure in itself. A two-hour boat journey is required to experience this idyllic location, which is home to the rare and unique sheep that are the foundation of all their products.
